CONSULTATIONS:
What should I expect during my telephone Wedding Flower Consultation?
The design consultation is where we get to know you and work together on the style of your wedding flowers. We want to develop a rapport with you and create a shared vision of what your beautiful flowers will look like. We will discuss your wish list, design and budget to achieve the vibe you want. Please always have a rough budget figure you can provide to us at this meeting as it makes our job easier and the discussion more productive. We would like to understand the inspirations behind your wedding design, so please e-mail us any images, pinterest walls, colour pallets or anything else that inspires you, prior to the consultation.
Do you provide a face to face Wedding Flower Consultation?
This is a 30-40 minute consultation at our workshop and takes place after you have confirmed your booking and we have received your security deposit. We can also hold this meeting virtually if it is easier for you.
The following questions will be covered during your telephone consultation, as answers will vary per client:
– Based on my wedding style and budget, what set of floral arrangements would I have?
– Which flowers would you recommend based on the time of year/season, colour palette, and budget?
– Which flowers can be substituted to better fit my budget?
– What types of vases do you suggest?
– What props can you supply?
– When will you deliver personal flowers and arrive to set up the event?
– What recommendations can you give me to maximize my budget?
Will you provide me with an itemised floral proposal of all the elements we have discussed, along with prices?
Yes, an itemised estimate will be sent out to you following your initial telephone consultation.
BOOKING & PAYMENTS:
How far in advance do I need to secure your services?
As far as possible. Whilst we will hold your date during the estimating process, it is not secured until we receive your security deposit.
How much is the deposit and when is it due?
The security deposit is £200.00 + VAT. This is due when you confirm your booking.
When is the final payment due?
The final payment is due a month before the wedding.
When should I finalise the order?
We would like to have the majority of the order finalised when you come for your studio meeting, but we are happy to make small changes such as the table quantities or an extra buttonhole up until a month before the wedding, prior to the final payment being made.
What is your refund policy if for some reason I need to cancel my order?
The £200.00 + VAT security deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Notice of cancellation given between 6 months and 1 month before the event will incur a charge of 50% of the most recent estimate issued. Notice of cancellation given less than 1 month before the event will not qualify for any refund, the full amount must be paid.
When can I expect to receive my contract from you?
We do not issue contract documents. Our contract with you relies on the information in the estimate and our standard terms and conditions of business. A contract under those terms is deemed to be in place between us once we have received the security deposit.
PRICING & BUDGET:
Do you require a minimum spend?
Our minimum spend is £1,000.00 + VAT (however, we will consider waiving this depending on the circumstances)
What arrangements must be included within the minimum spend?
We expect to supply all of the bouquets and buttonholes and ideally the table arrangements within the minimum spend. If you were thinking of providing your own table arrangements to save on budget, please bring this up during the consultation as we have some very economical options we can offer as an alternative.
How do you price your floral arrangements?
We price per item, e,g. Bridal Bouquet, Buttonhole. There are many variables that effect the estimate, for example whether the flowers are available locally or have to be imported, the time of year, the size and height of the arrangements, vase and prop requirements, wire, ribbon and foam costs. The most significant effect on cost is the ratio of blooms to foliage.
I want to use mostly greenery or foraged items for my wedding, will this lower the cost?
Foraged items give a great variety of texture to designs, but the belief that these items will be cheaper is a misconception as we have to account for the time and foraging expertise of the florist who does the gathering. Keeping your arrangements more greenery based will help to keep the overall cost down.
FLORAL DESIGN & ARRANGEMENT:
Can you create sample arrangements and if so, is there an additional fee for this?
Yes, these would be chargeable at the same rate as those estimated for the event. Payment will be required 14 days in advance so that we can order the products. We discourage sample arrangements as we would prefer you to place your order based on the quality and style of our previous designs, which are on our website and Instagram. We believe this money would be better spent on some extra flowers in special locations on your big day.
Can you provide trees?
We can supply rented Silver Birch trees in containers; these will be priced as a specific item on your estimate. They remain the property of Go Wild Flowers at all times.
If I give you a picture of a bouquet and/or centrepiece that I like, can you recreate it?
We can create something very similar using our style of design. We cannot make an exact copy of another businesses designs due to copyright laws.
What other décor elements can you provide?
Along with florals, we can provide candelabras, candles, trees, apple crates, lanterns etc. These would be hired from us and will be included in the estimate. They remain the property of Go Wild Flowers at all times.
Can you assist me in the preservation of my bouquet after the wedding? If not, can you recommend someone?
We have a contact who makes bouquets into pottery, which is lovely, otherwise we suggest you research this online.
Are you able to provide organic, pesticide-free, or sustainably grown flower varieties?
Yes.
LOGISTICS & SET UP:
How long do you need to set up?
Approximately 4hrs on average.
Will you be doing my arrangements yourself or would it be another florist?
Beth is involved in all design work, arrangements and installations.
How far in advance of the wedding will you create the bouquets and arrangements, and how are they stored?
The bouquets and table arrangements are created the day before and kept in cold storage, the venue installations are created on the day.
Is there an extra fee if I need you to stay throughout the ceremony to move arrangements to the reception site?
Yes, this would incur an additional charge. However, tasks such as moving the ceremony arrangement to the top table are usually carried out by the venue staff who are experienced in doing this. If more complicated movements are required we would need to discuss this further with you.
Do you charge a delivery fee and do you have extra charges for the setup and removal of the floral décor?
Delivery, installation and removal are included within the price estimated for locations within a 30 minute drive from our offices. For other locations please refer to our terms and conditions
How will I get rented equipment back to you?
We will collect this from the venue when we take down the floral arrangements.
What happens to the flowers after the wedding?
We will bunch up the flowers for members of the family or guests to collect from the venue the following morning (this is usually completed by 10am).
COLLABORATIONS & LIMITATIONS:
Can I use another florist for some arrangements?
We are not prepared to work alongside another florist.
Will you work with my cake designer if I decide to add flowers to my wedding cake? If so, is there an additional setup fee for this?
This is included in the cost of the cake flowers, we usually provide a bucket of stems for your cake supplier and they will put the flowers on the cake, but we can also add flowers to your cake if you would like us to.
Are you available to do a venue walk-through before the wedding date? If so, do you charge a fee for this?
If it is a private residence or a wedding venue we have never been to we are happy to do a walk through. For venues that we are familiar with there would be a charge for this as it is unnecessary.
How many other Weddings will you schedule on the same day as mine?
We sometimes schedule two weddings on the same day, under these circumstances we send one or two florists to each wedding.
ADDITIONAL POLICIES & INFORMATION:
Do I rent the vases from you or do I keep them after the event?
Vases are lent to you from our current collection and are included within the estimated price. All vases, containers and props remain the property of Go Wild Flowers at all times.
If we are planning to have the ceremony outside is there a contingency plan for rain?
We design external florals in a way that allows them to be re-located inside and placed on a similar sized structure.
